Thanks to funding from the company X press feeders and SNG housing association, the farm is now running Youth Clubs for those aged 8-16, and it runs every:
  • Thursday (3:30-4:45) for ages 10-16 (FREE DROP IN)
  • Friday 3:30-5 (FREE BOOKABLE)
  • Saturday 9:30-11 (FREE BOOKABLE)
  • Sunday 9:30-11 (PAID BOOKABLE)

Our Animal Care Club which ran every Sunday is now under our Youth Club name. This is £10 per child and runs from 9:30-11. 

The club is aimed at improving and supporting young peoples wellbeing using the outdoors, nature, and animals. We offer a inclusive, accessible, and holistic club, where the young people learn new skills and make friends.

🐐 Farm Tour

Friday 18th – Sunday 20th September

Learn what it's like to work on a farm through a hands-on and interactive farm tour.
  • Handle, feed and groom our animals
  • Help with daily animal care
  • Take part in practical gardening activities
  • Learn about the different animals and areas of the farm

🐔 Poultry & Pigs

Friday 25th – Sunday 27th September

Get stuck into caring for some of our poultry and pigs.
  • Help clean chicken, duck and pig enclosures
  • Create enrichment for the animals
  • Handle chickens and feed them corn
  • Meet our rescued chickens and turkeys in Safe Wings Sanctuary

🐐 Goat & Sheep Care

Friday 2nd – Sunday 4th October

A weekend focused on caring for our goats and sheep.
  • Help clean the barn and goat shelters
  • Feed hay to our goats and sheep
  • Spend time in the fields with our Pygmy goats, Nubian goats, Guernsey goats and sheep
  • Groom the goats
  • Create enrichment activities for them

🐰 Small Animal Care

Friday 9th – Sunday 11th October

Learn how to care for some of our smaller animals.
  • Clean guinea pig and rabbit enclosures
  • Refresh enclosures with clean bedding
  • Prepare food for guinea pigs, rabbits and reptiles
  • Forage for suitable weeds and greens from the garden
  • Take part in animal handling, grooming and bathing
  • Learn how to carry out basic health checks and weighing

Another weekend combining woodland activities with animal care.
  • Go bug hunting
  • Build dens
  • Complete scavenger hunts
  • Take part in team-building games
  • Enjoy hands-on animal interactions, which could include guinea pigs, goats, reptiles and chickens

  • Suitable for ages 8-16yrs. 
  • All attending children must be dropped off and collected at reception by a responsible adult 
  • Please ensure your child brings a snack and drink with them
  • Please wear suitable outdoor footwear and clothing - The farm will be muddy, so wellies are recommended!
  • You will be asked to complete a permission form for each child on arrival.
  • All staff and volunteers working with children are DBS checked.
